South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) are pleased to announce that following the public appeal across the area over the last couple of days the life-saving equipment which was stolen from a Gosport Community First Responder’s vehicle has been found.
The incident occurred on Monday night between 18:45 and 20:15 while the car was parked outside a residential address in Sydney Road, Gosport (14 December 2015) whilst the volunteer was on call and ready to respond to any medical emergencies in the local area should they come in.
A member of the public made the discovery of the equipment in a Gosport alleyway earlier this morning (17 December) and alerted the Police.
Jayne Hernon, Community Responder Liaison and Training Officer at SCAS said “We would like to take this opportunity to thank local media and members of the public who assisted us in the appeal to track down our stolen life-saving equipment. Fortunately the bag was found with the majority of its content, missing just a torch. The bag and its equipment will be checked before it is put back into use”.
