Lidl GB revealed today that its new supermarket will open its doors for the first time on Thursday, September 12, in Walworth Business Park in Andover.

Customers are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 am and the opportunity to sample some of Lidl’s award-winning products throughout the day will be provided along with exclusive deals and offers on chosen products for the first week of opening.

These include a Thursday, September 12 pizza oven (£ 49.99, RRP £ 99.99), a dehumidifier (£ 69, RRP £ 119) from Friday, September 13, and a contact grill (£ 19.99, RRP £ 34.99) from Saturday, September 14.

The new supermarket is part of the continuing growth and regeneration plans of the company in the GB and has generated up to 40 fresh employment for the local community. The store has a sales zone of 1325m2 and features services such as a bakery in-store, longer-style tills with dual packing, client bathrooms, baby switching and ample car and bicycle parking.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, James Mitchell, commented: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Andover. It’s great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to begin serving our multi-award winning goods to the local society. ”

Lidl GB has continued to grow over the years as customers flock to the store to find its high-value goods–more than two-thirds of which come from the UK–varying from quality fruit.

Its continuing performance demonstrates no signs of slowing down, with the recent outcomes from Kantar Worldpanel highlighting Lidl’s continued achievement with year-on-year sales growth and 5.9 percent market share.
