A lovely well presented and clean Indian Restaurant situated in the Upper High Street of Andover. Trendy looking inside and out, as we walked through the doors we were immediately greeted by one of the waiters and seated. It was very quiet which makes me wonder if it is one of Andover’s best kept secrets.
Eating from the lunch menu, it is £4.95 for one course and £7.95 for two.
We ordered a starter of Poppadoms, onion Bhaji and satay chicken, we had one of each and they are served with a lovely fresh and crispy salad. I can’t describe how delicious these starters were, the onion Bhajis were crispy and the chicken soft and slightly spicy.
The main we chose was chicken tikka masala, mushroom fried rice, bombay potatoes and a naan bread and when it arrived I can honestly say that it is the nicest meal I have had in a very long time, the spices are perfect, the rice aromatic, the bombay potatoes were just spicy enough, the sauce on the tikka creamy and the naan bread just right.
My only negative was the coke which was a little flat, when I told the waiter it was replaced but still wasn’t as fizzy as I would expect.
The service was impeccable without being overbearing but our every need was catered for.
I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly, for a 2 course lunch with 2 diet cokes for under £30 it’s a must visit.
Whilst we order a little more than the lunch menu allows, it is worth adding the extras as they don’t add much to the end bill and are worth every penny.
