The Travelling Cupcake is a local Andover business run by Bev and Greg who are located in Central Andover.
Andover and Villages has spoken to and bought various cakes and treats from Bev and Greg at various fairs and fetes we had covered over the summer months and noticed on their excellent Facebook Page that they had started a new line of cinnamon swirls, the pictures made them look mouth wateringly excellent and I kept meaning to order some but everytime I saw a post illustrating availabilty, they had been snapped up before I got a chance, until last weekend!
I got my order in before Bev had even made them and so waited until Saturday morning when Greg delivered them to my house for a small additional fee, I hadn’t told the children they were coming and when they saw them come through the door, the nagging started.
Luckily I bought 2 lots of the family sized portion which consists of 4 swirls made into one big swirl, so we opened one up straight away and we all dove in, the top is spread with a lovely frosting that I think may have cream cheese in it, it is light and sweet and makes an excellent glaze for the fluffy swirls beneath that were rolled dough oozing with the most delicious sticky cinnamon filling.
After we had finished everyone needed to give their hands a scrub as Bev does not scrimp on the topping or the filling, £8 a family pack gets you an excellent sized portion suitable for a family of four, please do give The Travelling Cupcake a go, they will be occupying the new pop up shop in Bridge Street for 2 weeks from Sunday and you can also place orders for deliveries or collection on their lovely Facebook page:
The Travelling Cupcake gets a Gold Ribbon from Lady Does Lunch for the quality of food and for the excellent service.
