Hawthorn Class in St Mary Bourne Primary School have been studying ‘Advertising’ for their recent project.

Andover & Villages were trained in Advertising sales and design at The Andover Advertiser and so went in for an hour to talk to the children about Advertising, its effectiveness and how to build an advert.

KJM Windows and Conservatories had agreed to letting the children design them an advert, and provided lots of window and door booklets with KJM logos on. Andover & Villages also provided lots of ‘Attention Getter’ pictures for the children to use.

The Hawthorn Class children busily set to work after a list of instructions of where to place contact information and the importance of a Headline.

Lots of creative work went on before the lunchtime break and the result was a fantastic stack of adverts that Mark Pearce, Managing Director of KJM, was thrilled with. He told Andover & Villages, “These really are very good adverts and I will be using a few of them.” Mark went on to say, “I was going to choose one winner, but to me all of the children that have produced these adverts are winners.”

Mark bought all of the children an Easter Egg, as a reward, and went into the school to present them to Hawthorn class on Friday 28th March 2014.
