Kit Malthouse visits OptiBac Probiotics Head Quarters

OptiBac Probiotics were proud to welcome Kit Malthouse, Conservative MP for North West Hampshire, to their HQ in Andover on Friday 20th February. Kit was keen to visit OptiBac Probiotics after hearing about the company’s expansion and to celebrate its growth. The family run business has over doubled their staff since 2012, boasting a total workforce of 45, helping to bring employment to the Andover area.

OptiBac Probiotics were proud to show Kit around their new premises (triple the size of their previous space), within Mayfield Avenue Industrial Park. Kit spent time learning more about the business, how it has grown and plans for the future as well as making time to meet the team and learn about their job roles. “I very much enjoyed my visit to OptiBac Probiotics. I love to see a local business which is growing sustainably and successfully. I learnt a lot about probiotics on my visit and gained a greater understanding of some of the challenges they face, such as the EU Nutrition & Health Claims Regulations, as well as the more general issues facing the health foods industry.” – Kit Malthouse MP

‘It was an honour to have our local MP Kit Malthouse visit, and a big morale boost for everyone. We’re very proud of our team and it was great for them all to be recognised for their contributions.’ – Jalal Janmohamed, OptiBac Probiotics Kit said he left feeling much more aware of the wonders of friendly bacteria, from digestive health to immunity, through to conditions such as cholesterol.

The OptiBac Probiotics range boasts 11 different probiotic supplements, and some of the most researched strains (types) in the world. It is available at all good, independent health food shops nationwide, or online at www.optibacprobiotics.co.uk.
