More than 50 people attended an local community event in Whitchurch and learned about the success of the government in cleaning up the environment from Kit Malthouse MP.
Led by former pupils Anna Jay and Zoe Crapper from the Testbourne Community School, the conference introduced local environmental organisations and projects and encouraged people to reduce their carbon footprint.
More than 50 people attended the community environment event in Whitchurch and heard from Kit Malthouse MP about the government’s progress in cleaning up the environment.
Kit Malthouse addressed questions from the public about what the government is doing and reviewed its achievements, such as phasing out coal power, generating hundreds of thousands of low-carbon jobs and introducing legislation to reduce emissions by 100%.
Mr Malthouse, MP, said; “It was a great and lively discussion and I was very pleased to be invited by Anna and Zoe who gave a brilliant presentation. I was glad to have the opportunity to update local people about what the government is doing to help the environment and the progress we are making as a country.
