Local Politics | King's Somborne Grant for Public Noticeboards | Andover & VillagesKing’s Somborne Parish Council has been presented with a Councillor Community Grant worth £750. Councillor Tony Ward awarded the money to King’s Somborne Parish Council to replace eight external public notice boards around the community for the display of Council and community groups’ notices. Councillor Ward commented: “The boards are very popular and provide a useful and accessible source of information for residents and visitors alike.”

In keeping with the rural environment of the village, the new notice boards are made of recycled aluminium with a wood effect.

Peter Storey, Parish Council Clerk, added: “We are delighted to receive this grant from the Council. The noticeboards have been an important tool for many years, and now we can continue to inform everyone of our news and announcements.”
