Hundreds petition against closure of local school pool

ANDOVER parents and students have launched a plea to ‘Save the Test Valley School Pool’ on world-wide petition site,

The online petition has almost reached 1,000 signatures against removing the pool following budget cuts.

This petition will be delivered to the governing body of Test Valley School, as well as Hampshire County Council, in an effort to persuade them to do all they can as custodians of the school and it’s legacy, to prevent this woeful loss which would be a permanent scar on our community and affect local children for generations to come.

The Headteacher said that the pool may come to a disappointment, however, the school has be forced to budget cut with the costing of the pool to be upwards of £12,000.

The Petition can be found by visiting the following link, currently with 817 signatures as of publication.
