Locals turned out in force last Thursday for the grand opening of the Weyhill Farm Shop.
More than 300 visitors attended. An abundance of fresh fare, provided by local producers, flew off the shelves as customers eagerly filled their baskets. Grateley beef, lamb from Picket Piece and Stonehenge reared pork proved firm favourites with visitors.
Other produce on offer also proved a hit: Vegetables and fruit supplied by Kenyons, cheeses from Blandford, Berkshire Brewery beers and lagers and Caviste wine were all snapped up.
Master Butcher Richard Woods is passionate about the products he has in store and said: “We want to look after the community as they have us in the past and produce quality meat at affordable prices. Locally sourced, locally sold and locally eaten.”
