Education News | Hi Vis Donation Helps Pupils Stand out from the Crowd | Andover & VillagesA donation from local housebuilder helped keep Whitchurch schoolchildren safe when they performed at London’s O2 last week.

Youngsters from Whitchurch C of E Primary School were chosen to take part in the Young Voices concert at the prestigious venue. And with the special concert featuring 5,000 schoolchildren performing together, keeping the pupils all together and safe was top priority.

Luckily the school was able to call upon a recent donation from housebuilder David Wilson Homes, which provided pupils with hi vis jackets.

The reflective yellow tops helped to keep the youngsters visible throughout their time at the O2 and set them apart from the thousands of other schoolchildren there.

Anthony Dimmick, from David Wilson Homes, said: “We’ve been working closely with the school as part of our community engagement programme and we were so proud when we heard they were performing at the O2. It was our pleasure to provide hi vis jackets to keep them safe and seen.”

David Wilson Homes is supporting several community initiatives as it continues work on its Mill Springs development in the town.
