The population of Andover have been invited to present their views on the proposal of moving the Post Office, in Bridge Street to the Hight Street, the consultation
This proposal was first mentioned back in October, fears were raised about the convenience for the elderly customers and with other related disabilities.
If the plan gets the go-ahead it could be relocated as quickly as May this Year.
The opening hours of the Post Office will be increased on Saturday afternoons and Sundays
It is unknown if the relocation of the Post Office will affect the Royal Mail Delivery Service.
In the statement by The Post Office, it was unclear what would happen to the building in Bridge Street, Andover.
More details will be shown by displays in the Post Office.
Roger Gal, Sales director of the Network said: “The vast majority of our 11,500 Post Offices, large and small, are successfully operated on a franchise basis with retail partners.
“We believe this is the best approach to keeping Post Offices in main shopping locations and at the heart of communities where they play an important role in local economies.”
