Hampshire Insurance Business Gains National AccreditationIf you think a career in the insurance industry is just about working in a call centre then think again.

Hampshire based insurance company Be Wiser has been accredited by the nationally recognised body the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) as a leadership management training centre. This means it can now offer management qualifications to its senior staff.

The growing Andover business already offers all its employees a chance to take insurance qualifications but now managers and team leaders will be able to gain further qualifications.

“After further investigation and off the back of the success of our current apprenticeship provision in providing financial services we decided to go for full centre approval status with the ILM, allowing us to deliver Management Apprenticeships at Levels 3 & 4,” said Be Wiser Leadership Development Manager Clare Waite. “We chose the ILM as their qualifications offer the flexibility to tailor them to our business and make the application of the learning more relevant to our employees.”

The application process was extremely thorough with everyone involved discussing the different approval options available. After deciding on the qualifications Be Wiser as a business wanted to offer the team began to pull together details of how they would deliver this to their employees.

“This included the creation of learner journeys, sample materials, and quality management systems to ensure we could hit the high standards that the ILM is synonymous with,” explained Kelly Scanlan. After a visit from the ILM’s quality and compliance manager to review our application we were swiftly awarded the approved centre status and are now able to offer this fantastic opportunity to our management teams.”
