Governor Vacancy at Testbourne Community SchoolTestbourne’s governing body currently has vacancies for three co-opted governors. These governors are appointed by the governing body and may be parents of pupils at the school or members of the community with an interest in education locally.

Governors are expected to attend a range of meetings during the year, to read associated paperwork to prepare for those meetings and to get to know the school well by visiting the school to follow up aspects of its provision. Induction and on-going training is provided to help you fulfil this important role and most governors find it interesting, enjoyable and challenging.

We would be particularly interested to hear from people with knowledge or skills in health and safety, health and care, safeguarding young people, legal knowledge or engineering and construction as these skills are currently under-represented on the governing body. If you would like to know more about what is involved, or to apply, please contact Sue Burton, PA to Mrs Beasley on or 01256 890215

Closing Date – 4th March 2015
