Work to keep road users informed by maintaining the electrical signage at the junction takes place this week. The southbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 17 December. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.

M3 junction 7 Dummer, Hampshire: vegetation

Work to improve journeys by carrying out vegetation management at the junction takes place this week. Lane closures will be in place on the M3 southbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 17 December for 2 nights.

In addition, lane closures will be in place on the M3 northbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Wednesday 19 December for 3 nights.

A303 Andover, Hampshire: vegetation

Work to improve wildlife habitats in the verges of the A303 at Andover takes place this week. The westbound exit slip road at the A3057 Winchester Road junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 17 December for 3 nights.

In addition, the eastbound exit and entry slip roads at the same junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Thursday 20 December for 2 nights.

Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.

M3 junction 11 Winchester, Hampshire: drainage

Work to improve journeys by monitoring the drainage system along the M3 starts this week. The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Wednesday 19 December. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 12 and return.

M4 junction 8/9 Maidenhead, Berkshire: bridge maintenance

Work to ensure safety by maintaining the bridge which carries the M4 over the A308 Windsor Road at Bray continues this week. The A308 Windsor Road beneath the bridge will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, until Friday 25 January 2019 (Monday to Friday only).  A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A308, A332, M4 and A308(M).

Vehicles which are not permitted to travel on the motorway are recommended to travel to the A308 Windsor Road/Maidenhead Road, A332 Royal Windsor Way, A355 Tuns Lane, A4 Bath Road and A308 Braywick Road.

M4 junction 8/9 Maidenhead to 10 Wokingham, Berkshire: smart motorway

Work to improve journeys by converting the M4 into a smart motorway continues this week. 24 hour narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction will be in place until spring 2019. 

M4 junction 13 Chieveley, Berkshire: street lighting

Work to improve journeys by maintaining street lighting takes place this week. Lane closures will be in place at the junction overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 17 December for 5 nights.

M4 junction 13 Chieveley to junction 14 Hungerford, West Berkshire: drainage

Work to improve journeys by maintaining drainage along the M4 continues this week. The eastbound entry slip road at junction 14 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 17 December for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 15 and return.

M4 junction 15 Swindon, Wiltshire: barrier replacement

Work to improve safety by replacing crash barrier continues this week. The westbound exit slip road at junction 15 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Friday 21 December. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 16 and return.

M27 junctions 3 to 4 Southampton, Hampshire: bridge reconstruction

Work to maintain journeys and ensure road user safety by replacing the Romsey Road bridge near junction 3 continues this week. A 50mph speed restriction is in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways beneath the bridge until summer 2019.
