Local Politics | Forces Re-engineered Receives Support from Councillors | Andover & VillagesSt Mary’s ward councillors have presented Forces Re-engineered with a Councillor Community Grant worth nearly £1,000.

Councillors Andersen, Cockaday and Denny awarded Forces Re-engineered with the money to fund an extraction system for their vehicle servicing workshop. Forces Re-engineered is a Community Interest Company, which means that the venture is not-for-profit. Instead it focuses on providing opportunities for ex Services personnel to retrain in a PTSD-friendly environment and helps employees make the transition from the Services to civilian life.

Councillor Andersen said: “I’m pleased to present this cheque to Stephan. He has worked incredibly hard to launch this unique, community-focussed company. A lot of vulnerable people have benefited from his guidance and encouragement. The company has been trading for a year now which makes it even more of a special time to award the funding.”

The Test Valley Borough Council Councillor Community Grant scheme helps to fund community-led initiatives. Local councillors allocate funds to projects that they identify as meeting a need in the community based on feedback and ideas from residents.
