Currys is recalling the Logik Tumble Dryer LVD7W15 because of a problem with the heating element in a small batch of the product.
When the heating element is overheated it may lead to a fire. Although Currys has said the risk is small it is recalling the item as a precautionary measure.
According to Trading Standards, customers will be contacted to be made aware of the issue. They will also be advised to check their dryer.
If there is a problem with it a technician will be sent out to change the heating element, free of charge.
In cases where it cannot be fixed an exchange will be carried out.
A statement on the Trading Standards website said: “Until the product is confirmed as not at risk, customers should stop using their tumble dryer immediately.
“Switch it off and unplug at the mains.”
