It was a bumper Christmas market with more than 50 stalls featuring food, drink, treats, crafts, and gifts galore that graced the High Street at the weekend. Old favourites included The Flour Stall, Loosehanger Cheeses, Hampshire Game and Lulu’s Boutique alongside new traders including Betteridges Brewery.
Hot street food was available from The Pie Hole and Chit Chaat Chai and delicious mulled wine from Teffont Wine. There was street theatre from the Electroglide Angels and the town rang out with festive tunes from the Andover Town Band and local singer Jake Ward, who interacted with shoppers in his usual cheeky style.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “The range and quality of the traders who have filled the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts market this year, coupled with the fantastic support of local shoppers, has meant that the Council run markets have been a real success story for 2014.
This was the last chance to visit the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts market for this year, but it will be back in March 2015 after a short winter break, with lots of regular favourites and new additions.”
