Fatal Crash on B3049 Between Stockbridge and WinchesterPolice are appealing for information after a fatal collision on the B3049 between Stockbridge and Winchester this morning (Wednesday, October 14).

A blue coloured Suzuki Wagon R travelling towards Stockbridge was in collision with a silver VW Golf travelling in the opposite direction at about 11.19am this morning.

Sadly, the driver of the Suzuki was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the VW Golf was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.

The B3049 remains closed in both directions at White Hart pub at the Stockbridge end and at the crossroads of Crawley and Kings Somborne at the Winchester end.

Police continue to investigate the exact circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
