43 employees from Edwards Lifesciences in Newbury recently took a day away from the office to volunteer for leading Hampshire-based disability charity Enham Trust.
A global leader in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring, Edwards Lifesciences are committed to supporting health-related and community causes through a variety of mediums; volunteering with Enham Trust being one of their most recent ventures.
During their time with Enham Trust, the team worked together with the charity’s Garden Services Team to complete a number of tasks across the estate, ensuring Enham Trust’s disabled clients continue to have a safe, attractive and fully accessible place to live and work. These tasks included; weeding, hedge trimming, and clearing pathways, ending in the village to help clear and tidy one Enham Trust client’s garden.
“Thank you so much to the Edwards Lifesceiences team,” says Enham Trust’s Volunteer Team Leader, Ryan Pooles. “They achieved so much in one afternoon and it has really benefitted the Charity. Enham 3PL have really appreciated the gardening completed by the team as it has saved them from stopping production. It was also a delight to see the team working so hard to support one of our clients in the village; this is what volunteering is all about. I would love to have the team back again!’
Enham Trust supports over 7,500 disabled and disadvantaged people across the country to live lives of choice; gaining greater independence in every aspect of their lives.
