Dukes Cafe is set up for Andover and District Mencap clients with learning disabilities to gain valuable work experience within a catering environment.

It has been running for over 10 years, giving Andover and District Mencap members the opportunity of preparing and serving food not only to staff but also to the wider community.

The Cafe Supervisor, Caroline Fletcher oversees the group of volunteers who support their clients, valuing their time and commitment in supporting their clients in moving forward until they are confident within their working tasks to apply for paid or unpaid work within the local community.

The true benefit for Andover and District Mencap clients is the opportunity of them being able to interact with customers while they enjoy a delicious, healthy lunch served by the team.

Dukes Cafe offers homemade meals and various fillings for baguettes, sandwiches or jacket potatoes.  The prices are competitive and good value for money.

You are very welcome to come along and sample the delights or to try a takeaway.

The Cafe is open every Tuesday 12-2 at the Wellington Centre, Winchester Road, Andover SP10 2EG.
