Diary Dates in the Lead Up to Election DayAre you ready and registered to vote in the May elections?

Local Electoral Registration Officer, Roger Tetstall, said: “Time is running out to make sure that you can take part in the elections on 7 May. I would encourage everyone in Test Valley to take action now if you aren’t registered to vote.

“Our message is simple: you can’t vote if you aren’t registered by 20 April. It’s easy to do and only takes a few minutes online at gov.uk/register-to-vote. If you are not sure whether you are registered, please double check.”

If you are already registered but know that you will be unable to vote at your local polling station on election day you can apply for a postal vote by 21 April, or for a proxy vote by 28 April.

Residents can check whether they’re registered to vote or apply for postal or proxy votes by contacting Electoral Services on 01264 368000 or emailing: elecreg@testvalley.gov.uk
