Traffic is almost at a standstill this morning on the A303 at the junction for the A34 at Bullington Cross.
Hampshire Police are currently dealing with a serious collision on the M3 southbound. Officers were called just after 6.30am to reports of a three vehicle collision.
Sadly, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene and as a result, the M3 southbound carriageway is closed between junctions 8 and 9.
This closure is expected to remain for several hours to allow for our investigations.
Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
The motorway is currently closed westbound between junctions 8 and 9 near Winchester following an incident involving four vehicles, and is likely to remain closed until this afternoon.
A diversion is in place along the A303 and A34, and Highways England is advising drivers to allow extra time for their journeys or to use alternative routes.
