Council Grant for Too Stressed to CookTest Valley Borough Council has presented entrepreneur chef, Emma North, with a £500 Business Incentive Grant to reward her hard work launching her new catering business, Too Stressed to Cook.

Located at Andover Basepoint, Emma’s passion for being creative in the kitchen has spanned a career of more than 25 years. From creative canapes to mouth-watering mains, Emma’s menus are enjoyed by hundreds of guests at weddings, sporting events and corporate functions.

Emma said: “My new unit at Basepoint is the ideal location for the business because it is easy to get to and it is really spacious inside. I source ingredients locally whenever I can so it is also the perfect place to access quality suppliers. I’d like to thank Test Valley Borough Council for the grant and for the networking opportunities which have helped me to launch the company.”

Harroway ward member, Councillor Karen Hamilton, added: “Emma is a very talented and experienced chef and clearly enjoys her job. She has worked very hard to launch Too Stressed to Cook and it is already doing well. I wish her the best of luck for the future.”

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant after 1 April 2016 will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
