Andover Anton Vets Tortoise Party

Anton Vets have announced that they are cancelling their annual Spring tortoise party this year.

The twice-yearly event is a massive hit with local tortoise owners, giving a valuable service to help tortoises with their wake from hibernation, at the event tortoises are weighed and given a health check by the experienced Anton Vets team.

The decision to cancel was made because of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and the associated risks because of it.

Anton Vets will be offering their normal Spring Tortoise checks in clinic on 15th May 2020 at Tortoise Party rates, you will need to call the surgery to book on 01264 729165.

The full statement from the Anton Vets team said:

It is with considerable regret that we have decided to cancel this Spring’s tortoise party.

Given the current Covid-19 risks and considering Government advice it seems sensible not to gather everyone on a single day.

However, we will still be offering our normal Spring checks at the clinic at normal Tortoise Party rates. These will be held until May 15th

We are really sorry to cancel this event and hope that we will see everyone for the Sleepover event in Autumn (October 10th) when we will belatedly celebrate our 10th anniversary.

Thank you for your understanding
