Test Valley Borough Council Collects Almost 2,200 Real Christmas TreesTest Valley Borough Council has collected almost 2,200 real Christmas trees from environmentally-friendly residents who used one of the Council’s dedicated tree recycling points after the festive period.

The Council’s Environmental Services team collected the trees from the six sites and took them to Chilbolton Down, a composting site near Winchester, where they will be recycled and turned into Pro-Grow soil conditioner.

Environmental Portfolio Holder, Councillor Graham Stallard, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who took their tree to one of our recycling points this year. We collected more trees than ever before, which is great news. My thanks also extend to the owners of the six disposal sites who have supported the scheme for another year.”
