Charlie’s opened up in Waterloo Court only a few short months ago, but have already made their mark on the parade of shops and the town.
The shop is all about taking something old and unloved and making it beautiful again. All manner of items are transformed and a variety are painted, decoupaged, and revamped furniture and household items are on display in this beautiful shop.
Owner Jane and her daughter Emma are at the helm, and are always up for a challenge to try and bring to life any ideas that people would like done to their furniture. Emma also handmakes the most amazing tutus.
Speaking to Andover & Villages, Owner of Charlie’s, Jane, said, “Charlie’s is a real ‘recycle’ shop. I love to make pieces of furniture come alive again with paint and decoupage, whilst my daughter Emma handmakes beautiful tutus and tutu dresses. Andover is embracing us with commission furniture pieces and also dress requests.”
Jane also told us that there will be lots of crafting for Andover children over Christmas, with a Christmas Craft Centre allowing children to make Christmas crafts for as little as 50p within the shop.

Waterloo Court is situated in the heart of Andover Town Centre.
It is easily accessible to shoppers through the alley in Shaw’s Walk from Andover’s High Street, or from the side of the White Hart Hotel in Bridge Street. Each access blossoms open to a small, but perfectly formed parade of shops that offer all manner of treats and essentials.
Over the last few months, the court has become a bubbling hive of new fresh businesses, working together to promote their area of the town, supporting each other and attracting more and more shoppers.
All of the shops on Waterloo Court need Andover’s help to continue providing the array of products and services. Please do use them.
