Visitors will now be able to enjoy Andover town centre for longer after Test Valley Borough Council announced that it will open the Chantry Centre car park until 11.00pm from today (April 23, 2019).
The car park was previously only open until 10.00pm Monday to Saturday, meaning customers of The Lights and leisure centre often had to make a quick dash back to their vehicles before it closed.
But the council has now extended the opening time to enable those eating, drinking, exercising and socialising to stay out for an extra hour.
The council purchased the Chantry Centre’s long leasehold from Aviva Investors back in April to enable them to undertake the major redevelopment of Andover town centre.
In the meantime, the council is exploring any immediate opportunities to improve the town centre for shoppers and visitors.
The Sunday opening hours remain unchanged.
