CCTV Image Released of Van Theft SuspectOfficers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to after an attempt was made to break into a work van in Andover.

It took place around 4.15am on Monday, February 22 in Picket Twenty Way. A man approached the vehicle that had been parked on a private driveway and tried a door handle.

Entry to the van was not gained.

This incident is being linked to three other incidents where power tools and equipment were stolen from vans parked in the Picket Twenty area of Andover.

Two of the incidents took place in Picket Twenty Way on February 15, and another in Nap Close on February 22.

PC Gareth Mahoney, of Andover police station, said: “These thefts from vehicles are not common in this area, but I would like to remind people not to leave powers tools, electrical items and cash in a vehicle overnight or unattended.

“I would urge anyone with information on these thefts, or who recognises the man in the picture, to call Andover police station on 101, quoting 44160076107.”
