For illustrative purposes only, not actually Allie, the cat.

An eleven-month-old cat was taken to the vets last month after discovering ‘multiple’ shot wounds to his body in Andover last month.

She said, “I don’t know why people can be so evil.”

Ruth Pearse told the Andover Advertiser: “He came back about six o’clock and I saw blood pouring down his leg and I bathed it. It was everywhere.”

“I phoned the vets and made arrangements to meet him at the surgery, he examined him and gave Allie an injection — he was in pain and limping.”

After thinking that Allie had begun to recover from the wounds, Allie began limping again.

“He kept getting little infections, we were bathing it and so forth,” she added in an interview.

“The vet could feel something under the wound, but there was no telling.”

The Pellet, believed to be from “close range” as there was flesh still in the pellet.

The pellet had also fractured the bone of the cat.
