Test Valley Borough Council has awarded a £500 Business Incentive Grant to Dr Julian Chen, an experienced dentist who has opened a new practice, New Street Dental Care, in Andover.
Dr Chen was a partner at a large dental practice in Weybridge, Surrey, for several years before working more locally in Romsey as an associate dentist. His new practice in Andover provides a range of services including routine check-ups, cosmetic work and dentures, and can offer a specialist service for young or nervous patients.
Dr Chen said: “Dentistry has fascinated me ever since I had my first visit to the dentist and I’ve never looked back. I am very passionate about dentistry and I love every part of my job. Test Valley Borough Council’s Business Incentive Grant is a great scheme that encourages entrepreneurs to set up their own businesses as well as boosting the local economy.”
Andover St Mary’s ward member, Councillor John Cockaday, presented the cheque at the New Street practice and said: “I’d like to congratulate Dr Chen for working so hard to launch this new service in Andover. The practice is modern and welcoming, and the staff are very approachable and experienced. I have no doubt that Dr Chen and his team will continue to provide Andover residents with a fantastic dental service.”
