Burglaries Andover

A spate of burglaries has hit Andover over the weekend with as many as 8 being reported and more car break-ins.

On Saturday the 26th October, a property on Longstock Close was broken into through a smashed rear window. The CCTV hard drive was taken by the intruders.

Also, a house was accessed on Chestnut Avenue via a broken back window in the evening of Sunday, 27 October. There was taken a safe, briefcase and jewellery.

Multiple car break-ins have been reported also, with all having their windows smashed in.

Please use this to test your home safety systems, particularly in the darkest afternoons. Consider the use of a temporary switch or a light if you are off through dark hours. It is a simple dissuasive and gives the impression that it is occupied.
