The coming year is set to be a busy one in Andover with Test Valley Borough Council putting together a brand new Farmers’ and Crafts Market, which is set to run throughout 2014.
Visitors to the new market can browse all their favourite traders including Loosehanger Cheeses, Greenfield Pork, New Forest Smokery and a Market for All Seasons, as well as taking advantage of a number of new independent small holdings such as Oaktrack Smallholding, Anna Valley Chillies and Mrs Mitchell’s Kitchen and Garden, artisan crafts people including Silvery Somethings and Nature In Pencil and much more. The market will be back from March, and will be bigger and better than ever before!
In addition, the council are pleased to welcome Parsonage Farm to trade at the events, a local family business selling quality meat products including charcuterie.
With 30 stalls booked already, the market is set to be a bustling one with live music in the Time Ring at every event provided by local groups and musicians. There is still availability for pitches however and at just £10, these are extremely accessible for local small traders. The council are particularly interested in hearing from local craftspeople who might be interested in a pitch at one of the events.
The first Andover Farmers’ and Crafts market will take place on Sunday, 16 March 2014. Anyone interested in taking a pitch at the market should contact Heather Whittam, Andover Summit High Street Events Working Group lead, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning 01264 368814
