Ed Lea, brother of Enham Trust resident Izzy, and Sam Macdonald-Smith, are taking on this mammoth journey – cycling from Vancouver to Washington D.C. – unsupported; carrying their own equipment, food, water, and bare essentials to help them along the way.

As Ed and Sam embark on this state-side adventure, disabled resident Izzy will be taking on her own – mimicking her brother’s efforts and cycling 30 miles on an accessible bike.

“It is fantastic that Izzy is doing her own cycling challenge supported by her care team at Enham Trust. It makes our cycling efforts seem even more significant – just knowing she is with us in spirit. ” – commented Ed Lea.

By completing this unique, transatlantic challenge the trio hope to raise £6,000 for the Trust; supporting over 7,500 disabled and disadvantaged people each year to gain independence, choice, and control in the cornerstone areas of their lives.
