Storm Brendan is predicted to batter Andover and the surrounding villages with wind and rain over the next 24 hours.

The Met Office has warned that heavy winds and rain will continue today and into tomorrow (Wednesday 15th January 2020).

Last night, high sided vehicles were stopped from entering the M3 for fear of them being blown over in the increasingly high and sudden gusts of wind.

The Met Office advises householders to secure items in the garden that may be loose, such as ladders and garden furniture.

Commenting on the forecast for the rest of the week, the Met office Chief Meteorologist Frank Saunders said: “It looks like it’s going to stay very unsettled, with the potential for further disruptive weather in places.”
