Local Andover Traffic News | Boomtown Fire Causes Traffic Delays | Andover & VillagesUPDATE: Hampshire Fire and Rescue have confirmed that 80 vehicles were destroyed in today’s blaze at Boomtown. The fire investigation will take place over the next few days in partnership with Hampshire Constabulary to find out the cause of the fire.

A large fire at the Boomtown Festival in Winchester, is causing delays on the A34 this afternoon.

The A34 southbound between the A303 and the junction with the M3 is backed up and drivers are being advised to avoid the area.

Andover Advertising with Andover & VillagesThe Boomtique campsite next to the car park at the Boomtown Festival has been evacuated as a precaution, as fire crews tackle the ongoing fire which has seen more then sixty cars catch fire.

No one is reported to have been hurt, Hampshire Fire and Rescue say that the fire is now under control.

The festival is being held at Cheesefoot Head near the A272 in Winchester.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route.
