A bonanza of bands and potential performers entertained the crowds that congregated for J Fest 2015.
John Hanson School was alive with the sound of music on a scorcher of a Saturday for a four hour feast of live music. Test Valley Brass, Tom Hayes and the John Hanson Soul Band were amongst a variety of acts that kept the 600 strong crowd tapping and clapping for the duration of the event.
There were activities aplenty for visitors to get involved with including an inflatable fun run, bouncy castle, local business and fete stalls.
Head of music Ross Gooding told Andover and Villages the event was a huge success. A total of £2000 was raised and will go to the school’s music department. J Fest also provided an excellent opportunity for young talent to perform alongside professional musicians.
John Hanson student Brynn Mead-Jones who performed on the day said: “It was fantastic, I loved performing. The atmosphere was great and it was great to see what we can achieve and become if we work hard.”
