Sam Paine Trio

Friday 23 September 8pm

A triple bill of amazing blues from the Sam Paine Trio, Morrison and Dan Sowerby.

A powerhouse blues band, The Sam Paine Trio is renowned for their unique style, fusing influences of Texas and Chicago Blues with the very best of British Blues/Rock. Sam’s blistering guitar playing and soulful vocals are backed up by the solid bass drive of Mark Barlow and the silky grooves of John Hillier on drums. A band described as ‘one of the best Blues Trios in the South’.

Morrison was formed during the winter storms of 2010 and consists of duo Matt Edwards and Steve Phillimore. Their music can best described as what a feeling would sound like.

Dan Sowerby is a familiar face on the blues scene in the south of England, with regular appearances at the Swanage Blues Festival and across the UK. He has a superb touch on the guitar and whether playing traditional style or slide, he has a great soulful voice.
