Week Twelve – Weight Loss – 1lb

Total Weight loss: 34.5lbs

Week Seven – Weight Loss – 5.5lbs

Total Weight loss: 33lbs

The question of eating properly at the scales stayed with me for some days after weigh in. Its funny that a fairly innocuous question can be so debilitating when you are on such a hard personal path. I didn’t really pick myself up until Sunday and during the unsettled days, made lots of bad choices, which undoubtedly would have a bad effect at the scales. Coupled with being mid way through my monthly cycle, it was a bad week.

It’s a surprise to me to see what a difference there is in attitude from Weight Watchers to Slimming World by doing these blogs, large weekly weight loss is not encouraged in WW but in SW, it is celebrated and rewarded.

The WW Swishing event was on Saturday in Andover, which had WW members and members of the public invited to bring clothes they had grown out of and have the chance to buy more at just £1 an item. All proceeds were to go to Diabetes UK. I went along to cover it for AaV, but also to pick up some bargains, I bought 2 lovely dresses in Size 14 and a denim skirt, but was too nervous to try them on at the event itself, but I did when I got home and found out that they fit like a glove

We all received a ‘Goody Bag’ from Sarah & Karen (Andover WW Leaders) with a pen, magazine and a shopping list pad.

It was Mother’s Day this week, which was a little hard because normally, I would have a big lunch cooked for me with a glass (or 5) of wine and maybe some chocolate goodies. My eldest son cooked me a Chicken Tikka Masala with brown rice and they had saved me a Cadburys Flake, which is my favourite.

My family really are very supportive and are trying lots of ways to celebrate Easter for me without the chocolate!

I was glad to see the scales drop this week, even though it was 1lb. I really didn’t deserve any more after the week I had struggled through. I had even considered not going at all and giving myself time to get back on track properly, but faced the scales instead.

My clothes are still baggy, but I am resisting buying more until I lose at least another stone.

Next week, I intend to be really good, I want to get my 2 and a half stone sticker which is only half a pound away. My real goal this week is to lose 2lbs in total which will take me back under 14 stone, which is where I was when I stopped doing Weight Watchers last time.

Good evening… Gosh is it that time again?! This week has just absolutely flown by! Mainly, I expect, due to the evil lurgy I’ve been battling!

Anyway, enough moaning… a very belated HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all mum’s out there! Simon and I went off to my mum’s house where we were joined by my nan as well as my Sister and Brother-in-Law! It was such a beautiful day, my mum and nan got absolutely pampered, sitting in the garden with the boys, whilst my sister and I prepared my Slimming World Recipe.

To start with, I cooked my very own made-up recipe Spicy Butternut Squash Soup (which went down so well, everyone had seconds and my mum even kept the last little bit for her lunch the next day!) We even got a work out as cutting the butternut squash definitely toned our arms!
For the main meal I cooked a famous Slimming World Recipe ‘Diet Coke Chicken’. Don’t judge! Hehe! It sounds weird, but it is amazing! It makes like a sticky BBQ chicken, delicious. I served it with a medley of sweet potato and regular potato wedges and home-made coleslaw! (Which my brother-in-law absolutely devoured!) None of them had any idea they were eating Slimming World food (let alone food that was completely syn free for me!)

Monday and Tuesday were a bit of a blurr as I was mostly in bed feeling rotten, but today, Wednesday, has been an awesome day! Unfortunately at the moment I’m not able to swim due to some stitches in my arm (which I’m gutted at, as I’ve turned into a bit of a fish!), so when I went Horse Riding this morning, I asked my Instructor to be brutal with me as I’ve been so lazy this week… and corrr blimey, she certainly was! It was great though.

I really found my feet this week and I felt like I had come on leaps and bounds. I definitely would not have had the confidence to be doing this had I not lost the weight I have already…

And on that note, I lost 5.5lbs this week, which I was utterly chuffed with! It takes me well over my 2 stone loss and 2lbs away from my 2.5 stone loss.

But even better in my opinion, my Slimming World buddy James, not only lost a whopping 7.5lbs, but he also won Young Slimmer of the Year! Amazing! He’s a complete inspiration! Well that’s all from my this week, hopefully I’ll join you next week having gained my 2.5stone loss!
