Week Eleven – Weight Loss – 4lbs

Total Weight loss: 33.5lbs

Week Eight – Weight Loss – 3lbs

Total Weight loss: 27.5lbs

I have had a really good week. I had a few (!!!) glasses of wine on Friday night, which was a bit naughty, but then I was good all weekend and made good choices.

I made a lovely beef stew on Sunday, with lean beef and lots of vegetables, I chose not to have the potatoes but ate lots of veggies. The whole family are enjoying the meals I am preparing, despite them being ‘healthy’.

I weigh myself every morning, first thing. Weight Watchers don’t recommend this, but it gives me the control I need during the week, and if I don’t weigh myself every day, I do tend to go off track more, so this way it works for me and I am able to stay focused all week instead of starting to panic the day before weigh in.

When I got to the scales this week, I knew I was going to have a good loss but was thrilled when the scales told me I had lost 4lbs, leaving me only 8.5lbs to my first big set goal, which is to get to where I was before I left Weight Watchers 4 years ago. If and when I get to this goal, it is going to be a massive achievement. I am already in clothes I was wearing when I achieved that weight loss.

Our Weight Watchers leader, however, came over to ask me if I was actually eating properly, because Weight Watchers don’t like or approve of big losses every week. But I have to say this did wobble (!!!) me a little. It didn’t feel like the achievement it initially was when I saw the numbers roll down. I understand that WW have a responsibility to everyone’s health but it doesn’t take much to knock us off our highs.

The highlight of my week was being able to put on and wear size 16 Next Jeans – I know a lot of people would not be excited about this, but for me, it is a massive achievement. I can’t wait to get into Size 14 and maybe even a Next 12! As most girls know, Next clothes do come up small, so I am already in a Size 14 in M&S – this is very exciting!

Well, this week…What a week! Thursday I treated myself to a homemade Steak Diane and Wedges… I mean c’mon, how can you not stick to a ‘diet’ when it allows you to eat amazing food like that! It was delish! I Basically, I made the Diane sauce off the top of my head, by heating a little pot of Extra Light Phillidelphia, with freshly ground pepper and some fried mushrooms [fried in Frylite of course ;-)], plonk it on top and voilà, Steak Diane! Yum!

Then at the weekend, I went on my first Horse Riding Hack in a long time! It was an hour and a half of pure fun! It was hard work and even though it was very chilly, I did get hot and sweaty, but at least I knew I was working hard! No pain, no gain!

The rest of the week consisted of the usual swimming in the mornings and walking the dogs for as long as possible. For some reason, this week I felt like I wasn’t loosing anything, even though I was sticking to my food optimising, so I was desperate for Wednesday evening to come around to see what was going on!

But, fortunately I had nothing to worry about, as I lost 3lbs! Hurrah! Although, stupidly when I saw 3lbs not 3.5 or 4lbs (which was what I was aiming for) I felt disappointed, it left me with half a lb to lose before my 2 stone award. But that is why is it is SO important to stay for Group, to hear others stories and get there advice. By the end of Group I felt great about my 3lbs loss and took it for the great achievement it is! It also helped that I achieved Slimmer of the Month tonight! That’s two months in a row, I was utterly gobsmacked!

But the biggest feeling I came away with from group tonight was pride. Not of myself, but of the whole group, all together we lost over 80lbs between us!!! I really believe that is down to amazing willpower and having fabulous support from each other! What a fantastic group of people and I feel lucky enough to take my journey of weight loss with them! Go Team Kingsclere!!!
Have a fab week! C x
