What's On | Awards Recognises Community Champions | Andover & VillagesCommunity initiative recognises community champions by sponsoring Pride of Andover Awards category.

The nomination period is now open for the Pride of Andover Awards 2018, where a handful of local people will be celebrated for investing in their community.

Sponsored by many local businesses & community initiatives, this year’s awards categories serve to shine a light on outstanding individuals working & volunteering in and around Andover to strengthen our community.

The Pride of Andover Awards 2018 has 9 various awards categories for which nominees can be shortlisted, including the Community Champion Award sponsored by Andover Vision.

The Community Champion Award exists to recognise an individual, group or organisation who has made a real difference to improve their local community through their actions.

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North, said:

“We know from our work through the Andover Vision that one of the town’s greatest strengths is its sense of community and that is thanks to the incredible people who live, work and volunteer in the area. These awards recognise the achievements of those who consistently put others before themselves and do their best to support their family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and even complete strangers.

“If you know someone who you feel deserves an award then please nominate them and give them the chance to get the recognition they deserve. These individuals make a real difference to people’s lives every single day and this is your opportunity to make a real difference to theirs.”
