Appeal To Find Two Burglars
We’re appealing for witnesses to a suspicious incident in Salisbury.

At approximately 11 pm on 22 September, a man was seen to put his hand into a member of the public’s pocket in an attempt to steal a mobile phone.

He was then seen to try to do the same to another member of the public.

This incident happened near the Fisherton Street railway bridge.

PC James Barrett said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man loitering in this area with a scarf covering his face.

“I’m also interested in speaking to anyone who thinks someone may have attempted to take their phone.”

As part of our enquiries, a 26-year-old man from Salisbury has been arrested on suspicion of attempted theft and possession of a class A drug.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
