Andover Women In Business has entered their 23rd year of existence and a new president has been chosen. The group provides support and a networking forum for women across the Test Valley region of Hampshire and the past year has seen exciting changes including a new website and a well-attended joint networking event.

New president, Andrea Barry, is following in the footsteps of local Nail and Makeup Artist Sue Risdale of Andover Nails. Sue held the title of president for the past two years and has helped drive the growth in membership numbers. During the Annual General Meeting this month Sue spoke to the members about the direction Andover Women in Business had taken in the past two years and how much it has meant to her to be involved with the group. Along with the election of the new president, Julie Clapperton, who is a Wealth Management Consultant with Mallon Wealth Management has taken on the role of treasurer. She is following on from Liz Scrace of Brady Scrace who has stood down after two years hard work.

Sue will continue on the Andover Women in Business committee and Liz will remain a member of the group as well. The group welcomes new members and meets on the first Tuesday of every month around 6:30pm. Their next meeting is at the Hawk Conservancy on the 7th October and the guest speaker will be Sue Davitt who is a business advisor for Enterprise First.
