Candidates for the Hampshire County Council By-Election for Andover West to be held on May 2015 have been announced this evening (9th April 2015)
The candidates are:
Zilliah Brookes – Conservative Party
Christine Forester – UK Independence Party (UKIP)
Dean Marriner – Green Party
Michael Mumford – Labour Party
The resignation of Pat West as Conservative Hampshire County Councillor for Andover West has forced the by-election to be undertaken, it will run along with the local Borough Council and General Elections on 7th May 2015.
Mrs West resigned in March 2015, citing ‘personal and private reasons’ for stepping down. A councillor for twenty years along with a stint as Mayor in 2003, Mrs West is a well-known and loved local figure.
TVBC is running the election on behalf of Hampshire County Council on 7th May 2015, polling stations open at 7am and close at 10pm.
