Police are releasing CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to, in connection with an incident at Waitrose Supermarket, Chantry Way, Andover on June 25.
It is alleged that two men entered the supermarket and scammed a vulnerable member of staff to hand over more than £320.
The suspects are described as:
Man one
White man – very tanned
Late 20s
About Six feet three inches tall
Slim / athletic build
Short, dark hair
At the time of the incident he was wearing a black t-shirt, light shorts, black socks and trainers and had a white bandage or band around his right bicep.
Man two
White man
Slim to medium build
Late 20s
He has a distinctive flat nose
At the time of the incident he has wearing a white t-shirt, light shorts, dark trainers and a trilby hat with a band around it
PC Andy Oliver, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a particularly despicable crime, as the suspects have targeted and preyed on a vulnerable man, causing him to feel confused and intimidated.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or recognises the men from the CCTV images or the descriptions given”.
