Andover Teenager Opens GCSE Results Live on TelevisionA brave 16 year old from Andover who opened his GCSE results in front of millions of people – live on the ITV show This Morning got the grades he needs to stay on his apprenticeship.

Tom Underwood is working at Be Wiser Insurance and needed 5 GCSEs at Grade C to stay on.

Tom did better than that with B’s in English Language and Maths and C’s in Film Studies, Media Studies, Additional Science, Computing, English Literature and Science.

The former Harrow Way student travelled to London with his family and said, “I was really nervous opening my results but I am really pleased with them.”

“We had a great day seeing behind the scenes at This Morning, it was fun being in London.”

Tom says his friends were both amused and impressed to see him on TV.

“Mark Leeming, Programme Manager at Be Wiser said, “We all watched Tom on This Morning and we are so pleased with his results and that he will be staying on with us at Be Wiser. We are looking forward to seeing him develop during his apprenticeship with us.”
