Andover Schools News - Rookwood Pupils Triumphant as GCSE Results Released

There was much to celebrate at Rookwood School, Andover, this week as 2014’s GCSE results were published.

The forty four students were delighted with their achievements and are all now looking forward to moving on to their first choice institutions for post 16 study. Value added at this non-selective school remains very high- a tribute to the hard work of both students and staff.

Amongst many successes were Michiko Head who gained a clean sweep of 11 A* grades, Luke Robinson with 9 A*s with Ella Neil and Dylan Murray both gaining six A*s and 5As.

Rookwood (Andover’s only independent school) has a well-deserved reputation for both supporting and challenging its students- an approach which has led to the continuing academic success of the school.Headmistress, Mrs Louise Whetstone, commented:  “This year, as in previous years, I am so proud of our GCSE students and everything they have achieved.They have shown real commitment and I commend them for their hard work.They truly deserve their success and we send them on to their future studies with our very best wishes for their continued success.Well done!”
