Andover model, Sel Borrett will be visiting Frome Tattoo Convention in Somerset tomorrow to compete in the Miss Lady Ink UK model competition.
Tattooed ladies from across the country, entered the competition with the hope of being crowned ‘Miss Lady Ink’ from the eight finalists.
Sel is known as ‘Lady J May’, and has been modelling for just over a year, reaching the quarter finals of Miss Dolly Pin Up 2015 and reaching the semi finals of Miss Pin Up UK last year, Sel is fast becoming well known in pin up modelling competitions.
Happily married with two children, Sel told Andover & Villages, “Modelling started as a hobby and was just so confidence building and brilliant, that I started to look for challenges like Miss Pin Up UK.
I applied thinking I would have no chance, but I got in! It was such a body positive environment, everyone supporting each other from models, burlesque dancers to singers . We are all still friends now.
“It’s not been without ups and downs and has taken a massive amount of courage to do this. But I have been blessed with a super supportive husband, friends and family who kept me motivated.”
The competition is at Frome Tattoo Convention at The Cheese and Grain Market Yard, Justice Lane, BA11 1BE.
