Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of friends were robbed by two men whilst walking through Icknield Way on Saturday 16 June.

A group of three men and one woman aged between 18 and 20-years-old were walking through Icknield Way at 3.30am yesterday morning when they were approached by two men.

The men were holding a knife and stole a wallet from one of the members of the group, an 18-year-old man.

They also stole a carrier bag of food and drink the group were carrying.

No one was injured.

The men have been described as:

  • White
  • Aged 20 to 25-years-old
  • 5’ 10/11”
  • Average build
  • Grey hooded top with black writing on the front
  • Black tracksuit bottoms
  • Black trainers

Man 2

  • Black
  • Aged 20 to 25-years-old
  • 5’ 10/11”
  • Average build
  • Black or dark blue coloured hooded top with white writing on the front
  • Black tracksuit bottoms
  • Black trainers

DC Tracy West from the Northern Investigation Team said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the Ickfield Way area of Andover around this time yesterday morning who saw these men or, knows who they are.

“Try to avoid walking home late at night or in the early hours of the morning, consider taking a taxi and stick to busy or well-lit areas where possible.”
