Andover Police are appealing for information after a safe was stolen during a burglary in Andover.

The burglary took place at a home in Rooksbury Road, sometime between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, February 16.

Intruders forced the front door open before conducting a search of the upstairs bedrooms.

The safe was taken from one of the rooms, however, it has since been recovered.

PC Rhianwen Evans, of Andover police station, said: “This burglary took place on a quiet residential street during daylight hours.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in Rooksbury Road and the surrounding area that afternoon.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to remind people to keep doors and windows locked and valuables out of sight.”
